GREETINGS

Hello to all from sunny Sinney. Having a splendid time here in the Harbour City which on most counts beats Melbourne hands-down. Scenery, cityscapes, public transport (Day-Tripper's the go, $13.40 gets you all day transport on trains, buses and ferries), accommodation (for a bargain do a search for wotif.com) and pubs are all superior. Darling Harbour's as flash as it gets and there's nothing quite as breathtaking as the view of the OPera House, the Bridge and the city skyline from a ferry approaching Circular Quay.
We had a fine old time Thursday night at the Nelson Hotel in Bondi Junction with master bloggers TIM BLAIR and JAMES MORROW.
Apologies to punters, no Manley tips today. But I'm heading to Randwick to clean out the Waterhouses.

Sunday

TRAGIC

Dreadful news about the Shuttle tragedy. MATHEW BATES at Wicker's site and THE PROFESSOR have the best words in Ozblog.

STREAK CONTINUES

He's done it again. Magic Mick Manley's got us counting shekals. His best bet of the day, Gussy Godova, duly greeted the judge and returned $25 for a $10 outlay. Not a bonanza, but hey, better than bank interest. His next recommendation, Innovation Girl, also won, returning $23 for $10. We lost our $5 each way on Zero Drama to net an all-up profit of $28. Guess we won't be booking penthouse accommodation.
